Scene: Bay and Bloor’s Scramble Intersection
Photos by Nick Kozak/Torontoist.
WHERE: Bay Street and Bloor Street West.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 3, at 2:08 and 2:17 p.m.
WHAT: Yonge and Dundas became one in 2008, and Yonge and Bloor in 2009, and now it’s Bay and Bloor’s turn to scramble. Today, the intersection got turned into a “pedestrian priority intersection,” which, at regular intervals, lets pedestrians cross the street in any direction they’d like, including diagonally.
