- Just in time for Remembrance Day, OpenFile map guy Patrick Cain has compiled a meticulously researched Google Maps overlay, showing the addresses of the former homes of Toronto’s World War II dead. He says the project is a result of “what ended up being 55 hours of data entry.”
- Krispy Kreme is now open for business on Harbord Street, at Bathurst. Glazed donut addicts rejoice.
- Some mysterious turkey posters have been piquing interest online lately. It turns out, somewhat predictably, they were an attempt at viral advertising for some nightclub.
- Toronto Public Health issued a warning today about a Wilson Avenue tattoo parlour, called It’s Just Body Art, that hasn’t been using proper “infection control practices.” Lots of places covered the story, but only the Sun could write this lede.
