Extra, Extra: Dancing, Tweets, and Fresh Air
Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.
- Torontoist’s favourite guy-who-dances-with-himself-in-public, Phil Villeneuve, has taken his show on the road, to Paris. It’s no Dufferin Mall No Frills, but what the hell, we’ll take it.
- Twitter has given Toronto its own trending topics. Yes! Finally! “Toronto is only one of five cities outside of the U.S. to get the trending topics feature,” notes the Star. Way to spin that story.
- If you missed out on seeing Ed Norton interview Bruce Springsteen during this year’s instance of the Toronto International Film Festival, you can now listen to their conversation online, thanks to NPR’s Fresh Air. Norton’s not quite the host Terry Gross is, but he holds his own.
- “Canada is officially a Double Down free zone.“ Poor Double Down. We knew it well.
- BlogTO has discovered some neat Toronto neighbourhood posters that are sort of reminiscent of those other neat Toronto neighbourhood posters from last spring.
