Extra, Extra: Milk, Eagles, and Pandas
Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.
- Whatever this thing in Trinity Bellwoods Park was—art? advertising?—it was very charming.
- Torontoist was one of two media outlets at the Green Room’s tribunal hearing, which saw the restaurant lose its licence for good. John Q. Duffy, a reporter with Taxinews, showed up to cover other hearings that day at the East York Civic Centre, but he ended up writing about the Annex restaurant’s fate as well. His just-the-facts account from the day [PDF, page eleven] is worth reading along with ours.
- Rob Ford’s green and yellow Don Bosco Eagles jacket is pretty stylish, and certainly a hotter collector’s item than those gravy train shirts. Plus, seeing it allows you to better visualize what it might have looked like when this happened, so there’s that, too.
- Also, pandas, pandas, pandas.
