| FIELD NOTES: | This bit of ad bustin’ is interesting, if a little confusing: it cuts the billboard neatly in two, leaving the original advertiser’s message intact enough that almost all the important content remains. It also ascribes the runaway commercialism represented by the billboards directly to our federal government, which—what? The end result feels disjointed, and perhaps altogether representative of our modern Toronto family, teens who have just discovered Naomi Klein included. |
