WHERE: The billiard room in an apartment high-rise at 77 Carlton Street.
WHEN: Monday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m.
WHAT: In a billiard room that has been converted, for today, into a polling station, George Smitherman cast his vote for the mayoralty (and, one presumes, for the Ward 27 councillor’s seat) in front of throngs of media. Before marking his ballot, he made a mock-serious “hmmmm…” noise, as though deciding whether to vote for himself or someone else. Some journalists and cameramen laughed, but for lefty voters all over the city today, this moment of indecision will be no joke.
