Maybe the best thing about this year’s Nuit Blanche: Yonge Street, closed to cars. The opened-up strip is well-suited to big, public exhibits (big clowns! big lights!), it’s really easily accessible by transit, and—unlike Queen, which had pedestrians jammed together on the sidewalk—there’s a bit of room to breathe, and stop and start, and change directions without bumping into anyone.
