Torontoist Gets Nominated For Things!
Torontoist is honoured by and excited about two things—so much so that we thought we’d tell you about them.
For one, we’re a finalist in five categories at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards. We’re up for Best Overall Website, Best News, Best Blog, Best Community Feature, and Best Article. (Those’re more finalist nods than anyone else in our division.) What for, specifically? Among other things: our G20 coverage, our end-of-year Heroes and Villains feature, our wall-to-wall Banksy coverage, and the one-two punch of Photoist and our Flickr pool. Mercifully, we’re not against Dogs in Canada in any category.
What’s more, Torontoist is now defending our title as NOW readers’ choice for Toronto’s Best Blog. We’ve won the readers’ poll twice, and the alt-weekly’s critics have chosen us as Toronto’s best website twice, too. If you want to vote for us, you can.
