Overheard while leaving the Scotiabank after a full day of screenings: two men working themselves into a frenzy about how stupid Score: A Hockey Musical is. Snatches of similar conversations have been heard throughout the day. Considering that there are likely 299 films playing at TIFF this year that are better than Score: A Hockey Musical, can’t people save their fervour for something else? Is it any great surprise that a movie partially titled Colon A Hockey Musical is dumb? JOHN SEMLEY
