Finally: we spotted fake Joaquin Phoenix, at Tuesday night’s Bruce Springsteen gala at Roy Thomson Hall. (We’ll have red carpet photos on Wednesday morning here.) Torontoist’s Christopher Drost reports that the Joaquin stand-in and his entourage were yelling “BRRUUUUUUUUUUCEEEE.” TIFF staff weren’t having any of it, and cops escorted the group away; like the rest of TIFF, police officers are apparently so over fake Joaquin Phoenix, too.
