Busking for CHANGE is Good

If, on Tuesday, you found yourself confronted by more elaborately decked-out buskers than usual in the downtown core, there was a reason for it: Busking for CHANGE. War Child Canada’s event, which sprung up in part thanks to a marathon busking session by Raine Maida in 2007, sees musicians both biggish and small raise cash for the charity by playing half-hour sets at nine different locations outside, from Union Station to the Horseshoe Tavern.
Torontoist’s Miles Storey spent Tuesday chasing some of the acts down; his video’s above. In order, the performers are Mookie & The Loyalists, Morgan Cameron Ross from Birds of Wales, Brian Melo, Make Your Exit, Peter Katz, Darren Glover of Flash Lightnin’, and Raine Maida.
