Books Do Furnish a Field at The Eden Mills Writers Festival
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get out of the city for a day while still satisfying the dictates of your Inner Book Club Leader, the Eden Mills Writers Festival is made for you. Situated in the almost surreally idyllic pastures and quiet streets of the village of Eden Mills (yes, there’s even a babbling brook), the festival runs all weekend and hosts an eclectic and always interesting mix of local and imported authors reading (and teaching) in tents, fields, a rustic cottage, and a beautiful community hall. The nearby city of Guelph also hosts a number of satellite readings and interviews on Saturday.
