Air Show Cancelled Due to High Winds

According to 680News, CNE officials have cancelled Saturday’s Canadian International Air Show. Today’s high winds make it difficult for the on-site marine unit to respond swiftly in the event of an emergency. While it’s a tough break for aerobatics aficionados, the news likely comes as a welcome relief to a contingent of Torontonians who resent the noise pollution caused by the overhead aircraft, as well as those who have been passing around online petitions to ground the air show because (among other things) they “idealize war”—which, dare we say, makes about as much sense as saying that a man in an Isaac Brock costume doing ballet idealizes war.
