WHAT: Jack Layton, NDP leader, throws his support behind Joe Pantalone for the mayor’s seat—an endorsement that the Globe‘s Kelly Grant calls “high-profile, if unsurprising.” At this point in the race, though, Pantalone can use all the help he can get.
