Extra, Extra: Pattison Starts to Recover, Salad King to Resurface, Pandas to Remind You Why You Like Them
Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.
- After being targeted by the Toronto Street Advertising Takeover, Pattison Outdoor is starting to put ads back up on their pillars. Looks like they forgot to remove the TOSAT sticker from this one, though.
- Salad King may be reopening on Yonge Street in December, NOW and Taste T.O. are both reporting. The much-loved haunt’s been closed ever since that wall at Yonge and Gould collapsed.
- If you missed it yesterday, there will be celebrities at TIFF! This is different from other years, when celebrities were prohibited from TIFF, and the focus was exclusively on the art of cinema.
- An excellent Toronto Life feature from last month’s issue, “Priority One,” about subway suicides and the operators affected by them, is online now. Go read it.
- Because pandas might be coming to the Toronto Zoo, The National Post collects four adorable panda videos, including a “very itchy dancing panda,” and a “roly-poly ninja panda.” Good work, National Post.
- And here’s that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World/The Matrix mashup you asked for.
