Constantines To Definitely Maybe Call It Quits

Though originally hailing from Guelph, Constantines have endeared themselves to Toronto audiences over the past decade, proving integral in shaping the city’s indie rock scene. But according to Exclaim, the band may be going on “indefinite hiatus.” Apparently Cons vocalist/guitarist Bry Webb hinted that the band may closing up shop in a pre-recorded interview for CBC Radio 3, scheduled to air on Thursday. In the interview Webb comments that the band is “slowing down” before adding, “We’ll just say, ‘See you around.'” It’s sad news for Cons fans, to be sure. But we’ll always have Shine A Light.
