Overheard by reader Wade Vroom on a southbound Spadina streetcar last Saturday. At College, a woman boards with her five-or-so-year-old son, and the two stand next to a man wearing cut-off jean shorts.
Kid: What happened to your pants?
Man: They’re cut-off jeans. I cut the legs off to make shorts.
Kid: You’re gonna run out of pants.
