What We’re Doing During the G20, And What You Can Do, Too

When the G20 goes down this weekend, Torontoist will be staying on top of it—and for that, we could use your help.
Throughout this weekend, starting as early as Friday, we’ll be providing continuous live coverage of the summit. We’ll be relaying updates from our reporters and photographers in the streets all day and all night long. We’ll be highlighting selected reporting from other media outlets city- and worldwide. And we’ll be collecting what you, our readers, know and see and experience yourselves, whether you’re around the Metro Toronto Convention Centre or nowhere near it.
Here’s how you can contribute, or simply follow along:
IF YOU’RE SENDING TEXT
There are two ways you can send us anything G20-related, from links to tips to questions to overheard bits of conversation:
- Email [email protected]. If you’d like for your tip to remain anonymous, please specify that when you send it.
- If you use Twitter, send your updates to @torontoist on Twitter. If we follow you on Twitter, you can also send us a Direct Message. (If we don’t follow you, just @ us on Twitter and ask us to.)
IF YOU’RE SENDING PHOTOS
Whether it’s your SLR or your cellphone that you’re taking photos with, there are three ways you can send us what you shoot:
- Email your photos to [email protected]. Include the time and place each was taken, as well as anything else you think we should know. If we publish your shots, we’ll credit you for them (so tell us if you want us to link the credit to somewhere, like your online portfolio).
- Add your shots to Torontoist’s Flickr pool. (If you want to be especially great, you can email [email protected] to tell us when they’re added.) Include the time and place each was taken, as well as anything else you think we should know, either in the email or in the photo’s description on Flickr. If we use your photos, we’ll link back to their Flickr pages.
- Through Twitter, send your Twitpics, TweetPhotos, and the like to @torontoist—we’ll credit you and link to your Twitter profile if we use what you capture.
IF YOU JUST WANT TO FOLLOW ALONG
