Sharing Torontoist Just Got Easier
As of this week, sharing your favourite Torontoist stories on Twitter and Facebook just got a whole bunch simpler.
Below every post on Torontoist’s home page, there is now a green “retweet” button for Twitter, and a gray and blue “Like” button for Facebook. The first time you click “retweet,” a window will pop up asking for your permission to connect your Twitter profile with link-sharing site TweetMeme. After that, you’re just a click or two away from sending your favourite Torontoist articles out to your many millions of followers. The first time you click “Like,” you’ll get a pop-up, too, prompting you to log in to Facebook and grant Torontoist permission to hook up with your profile (unless you already have used Facebook Connect to comment on Torontoist via your Facebook). After that, any links you “Like” will gently land on your Facebook wall, where they’ll show up as one-line–long items under “Recent Activity,” all the better for your many millions of friends to see and share themselves.
If you’d rather watch from the sidelines, the numbers beside the buttons show how popular any given post was on site. But don’t forget that there are always a whole bunch of other things you can do to get involved with or to share Torontoist, just waiting for you…
