NXNE Day Two: Everything Old Is, Well, Old. But Still Awesome.

We dispersed far and fast for the second night of NXNE; from a star-studded roots party in the Annex to ear-blistering Dundas West weirdness to the free, all-ages, forefathers free for all. it was a night.
At least two of our writers went to Yonge-Dundas Square last night to watch Mudhoney and X. They didn’t sign all of their tweets—we’re tweeting throughout NXNE over @TOistLive—so, here, you can play a fun guessing game deciphering the difference between Alex Nino Gheciu‘s and John Semley‘s obvious, rightful reverence for all of those guitars:
7:53 p.m. “‘Supa scoopa!’ sceams a fan. everyone laughs. brant smiles. it’s a Kyuss thing, you wouldn’t understand.”
9:12 p.m. “Mark Arm was doing squats during the drum solo to ‘The Lucky Ones.’ the secret to Mudhoney’s longevity?”
9:21 p.m. “An abundance of adolescents are moshing to ‘Suck You Dry.’ thank you, torrents, for making this possible.”
9:55 p.m. “NXNE: Yonge and Dundas smells like a Lions Carnival! Yessss!”
There’s still so much to come! Check out some of our NXNE picks, or plan your own weekend with the full NXNE schedule.
