Moby Awards Honours Home-Grown Book Trailer
Let’s face it: a lot of book trailers suck. Whether they lack creativity, are too embedded in branding, or are too caught up in the video medium, these 30-second snapshots often fail to translate the experience of entering an author’s world and engaging with his or her characters. The popular book blog Moby Lives decided to celebrate this emerging medium by selecting the best and worst book trailers of the year, honouring the Bloodiest, Best Cameo, Best Big Budget Trailer, Best Indie Trailer, Least Likely to Sell the Book, Most Annoying Author Performance, and a few other key categories.
