  • Things are actually happening in Toronto other than the G20, like the World Cup. The big news today is Italy’s loss to Slovakia, which put the former team out of the tournament entirely. Little Italy mourned; Little Slovakia could not be reached for comment.
  • If you wanted to listen to a good song, and watch a good music video set on a subway line awfully similar to Scarborough’s—Oakland’s—we recommend Rogue Wave’s video for “Solitary Gun.”
  • The one thing that the G20 isn’t ruining is good will, especially when kids are involved: the Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People—once Young Peoples Theatre—is giving free drama classes to twenty students, between Grades 3 and 6, from shut-down schools [PDF], and several community centres are giving free childcare, too.
  • And this might be the greatest thing to come out of yesterday’s earthquake. (Sorry Spacing.) [via Tyler Clark Burke]
