Extra, Extra: Mario Boxes, Bloor Viaduct Bike Lanes, and Miley Cyrus Bombs
Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.

- The latest street art pieces by Vandalist curator Posterchild to pay homage to his (her?) beloved Mario videogames are “Mario Planter Boxes”—these things. Explains Posterchild: “I took them to this desolate wasteland of a parking lot…where pedestrians were apparently an afterthought….I thought that the rather sad little walkway could use some sprucing up!” Not everyone’s a fan, though.
- If you’d rather chuckle than cry about the G20, the Post‘s “Twelve (undeniably accurate) predictions for the G20 weekend” ought to do the trick.
- Blink and you’ll miss them, but the Bloor Viaduct’s bike lanes are now much improved.
- There is no clip of Miley Cyrus at Sunday’s MuchMusic Video Awards that is not hilarious, embarassing, or awful.
- And if there was ever any doubt, that tree with “Take That!” scrawled on it is definitely Banksy’s work (scroll far to the right).
