We’re Looking for an Urban Planner
Torontoist is looking to add one more contributor to the team that collects and writes our curated daily event listings, Urban Planner. Interested?
The job requires not only a strong writer but also an extremely organized and very tuned-in collator, men- and women-about-town who’re able to separate the wheat from the chaff and give Torontoist’s readers the best itinerary in the city. Because the job of doing Urban Planner—which pays (modestly!)—is evenly split between several people, you’d write listings for just a day or two a week.
What we want when you apply: Please email me, David Topping, at [email protected] before midnight on Saturday, May 22, with a bit about yourself, and why you’d be great for the position. If you’re one of our finalists, we’ll ask you to prepare a demo Planner for a day of your choosing. (You may also want to take a look at our Contribute page, which lists some other things we look for when we hire contributors—though you can safely ignore the “What We Want When You Apply” section of the page.)
Oh, and if you want to contribute to Torontoist, but being an Urban Planner isn’t your thing, we’d like to hear from you, too. You can find more about becoming a regular Torontoist contributor here.
