Torontoist Nominated For Two National Magazine Awards
This year, for the first time ever, the National Magazine Awards introduced categories for online publications—folks like us. And this year, Torontoist is pleased to announce that we’re going to the big show: we’re a finalist for Best Website of the Year, and our coverage of the Tamil protest on the Gardiner last May is a nominee for Best Cross-Platform Package.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens at the awards ceremony on June 4: the other finalists for Website of the Year are those of Canadian Living and Dogs in Canada, which means we’re up against some pretty ruff competition. No matter what happens, a big thanks to everyone—writers, illustrators, photographers, editors, readers, publishers—who’ve made Torontoist what it is today, and who’ll help make it even greater in the future.
