Not sure what to do after work today? Worried about how long your commute will take, or how much exhaust you might inhale on your way? If so, head on down to the City Hall Council Chamber—at 6 p.m. a new group called the Public Transit Coalition will launch its campaign to convince Dalton McGuinty and the Ontario Liberal government to reinstate full, timely funding for Transit City.
Your friendly Torontoist correspondents will be there too, and we’ll be tweeting the conversation as it unfolds from our special, live-events-only Twitter account: @TOistLive. (See that illustration up there? That’s us, so engrossed in bringing you all the energy and community engagement that we forgot entirely how absurdly long it takes us to get to Scarborough.) So if you are still at work, or on that long commute, you can get all the updates from the launch and learn more about some of the proposed solutions to our collective transit woes.
