Follow the Tweeter: TTC Riders and Workers Town Hall
Later this Sunday afternoon, Torontoist will be heading out to the first TTC “Let’s Talk” town hall meeting between the union and riders, and we’ll be providing live coverage of the event on @TOistLive—the live-focussed sister to our regular @Torontoist account—starting at about 12:45 p.m. (If you want to come, more details are on the event’s Facebook page and our Weekend Planner.)
We’re not sure what to expect, though TTC Union president Bob Kinnear told the Post that “maybe the public wants to come out and maybe they want to take some stripes off of me. So be it. Let’s let that happen. I’m confident we will have a more constructive dialogue if people are allowed to vent their frustrations.” At least two mayoral candidates are expected to attend, as is Adam Giambrone, as is John Tory, who’s moderating. No word on that asshole Greg Kinnear, though.
