- Chicagoist reminisced about Conan O’Brien’s 2006 visit to their fair city (including an interview with then-Senator Barack Obama) as Chicago’s Conan fans rallied to support the beleaguered talk-show host.
- LAist braved the rain to join the rally to save CoCo, and gathered with hundreds of chanting supporters of the now-ousted Tonight Show host.
- DCist was in a bittersweet mood after learning that the National Zoo’s farewell event for panda Tai Shan, or as he’s better known, Butterstick, would be sponsored by Land O’Lakes.
- Gothamist was surprised when a flight from Laguardia Airport was diverted to Philadelphia because a flight attendant was worried about an Orthodox Jewish passenger’s prayer boxes.
- Seattlest was totally grossed out by some super-duper greasy sewers.
- Shanghaiist went crazy sexting in China just in case it gets banned, which it seems like it will.
- Bostonist followed the Massachusetts Senate race, from the preemptive call for Coakley to Scott Brown’s win, then looked ahead to 2012.
- Londonist saw that motoring, biking and parking in the capital remained contentious issues, with local authorities (and some commenters) seeming to hold the opinion that motorists and bikers deserve to be inconvenienced for having the temerity to own a private vehicle in a big city.
- Phillyist prepared for its second Phillyist Framed exhibition.
- SFist was delightfully surprised when Gavin Newsom admonished Obama for his stance on gay marriage.
