Heroes and Villains Descend Next Week

At the very end of each year, Torontoist reflects on the previous twelve months by picking the very best and the very worst people, places, and things in and of Toronto for a feature we call Heroes and Villains. This year’s edition is going all out: there’re two dozen heroes and two dozen villains chosen by Torontoist’s writers and drawn by our illustrators—announced and argued for next week—and then two weeks of round-robin–style head-to-head competition in which you, Torontoist’s esteemed and impartial readers, whittle our choices down to the superhero and supervillain of the year. (Past superheroes: TTC automated announcements, bikes, and economist Peter Victor! Past supervillain, two years running: Stephen Harper!)
This year’s candidates are…well, we’re not telling yet. But they’re very good, and very bad. And you’ll get to see them all and have your say on them starting next week.
