We’re Looking for an Urban Planner
Urban Planner, our curated daily event listings column, is an essential part of Torontoist and, for many of our readers, an essential part of their day. We’re looking for one more person to help us compile and write it, starting in the new year.
The ideal candidate will be someone who’s not only a strong writer but also an extremely organized and very tuned-in collator, someone with a great sense of what’s going on in the city and what our readers would—or should—be into. The responsibility of throwing together our listings are evenly split between several people (you’d be tasked with doing the listings for just a day or two a week), it pays (a bit!), and it’s also pretty fun. To apply, please e-mail [email protected] before next Friday, December 11, and tell us a little about yourself. No resumes or cover letters, please; just tell us why you’re great, and why you’d be great writing for us. If we select you as one of the finalists for the position, we’ll likely ask you to prepare a demo Urban Planner for a day of your choosing.
(Oh, and if you read this whole post and thought, “golly gee, I want to contribute to Torontoist, but Urban Planner’s not my scene”? We’re always looking for great people to contribute to Torontoist in other ways, too.)
