While it’s not quite hard-hitting news (considering they already have eleven GTA theatres equipped with the technology), we still felt it essential to let our readers know that Cineplex is bringing 3-D to two new Toronto venues. And why is this information so vital? Well, as they say in the biz, timing is everything. The new Real D technology comes to Sheppard Grande Cinemas and Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas just in time for, and in promotion of―wait for it―the premiere of Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. No, not the next Batman, nor the epic sequel to Titanic, not even Saw VI―it’s the friggin’ Jonas Brothers. Canada’s movie theatre giant is bringing in the big guns (projectors, that is) in a timely fashion for you to sit down, slide on those strange plastic spectacles, and reach out and feel as if you’re actually touching Kevin, Joe, and Nick in the flesh.
