Portrait Project: Carlos in Chains

Sarah Lazarovic—curator of the garage-based Montrose Portrait Gallery of Canada—is painting a portrait of a Torontonian every day. Each Monday, we’ll feature one of those portraits here. Suggestions for subjects welcome.
Craving some pupusas, churros, or alfajores? You could hardly do better than the Plaza Latina, a strange and amazing food court buried inside a strip mall just north of the city. There, Carlos, the cheerful and bejewelled bus boy (bus man?), whisks away your plates and makes ceviche small talk.
