Polo in the Round

Ladies and Gentlemen of Toronto(ist),
This posting is to notify you that, as part of bike month, Streets Are For People cordially invites you to a smashing game of polo à la bike, tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m in Trinity Bellwoods Park. That’s right folks, a game of mallets, balls, and two-wheeled horses by the gazebo in the park. Suggested attire is fancy, yet fun—so we say, ladies, lace up your corsets, but eschew your eleven-inch heels in favor of something more favorable for a sporting event in the park; and boys, ditch the skinny jeans for some looser evening slacks. Arrival is acceptable only on two-wheeled chariot, one sturdy enough to withstand the bumps and lumps of the uneven playing field. Bring a basket brimming with tea and crumpets, set for in-between or after-match snacks and drinks with teammates, and the competition too.
Don’t forget your wit, your charm, and your gracefully competitive spirit when you come to mount your bikes at the round, and the hosts will bring the rest.
