David Miller says the election shows that city residents are willing to pay higher taxes. However, he would have said this regardless of who won. If the Conservatives had swept Toronto, he would have said, “Well, this just goes to show that Torontonians want lower provincial taxes so they can afford to pay higher municipal taxes.”
And Mats Sundin broke the Leafs’ all-time scoring record last night as he and his team thrashed the Islanders 8–1.
