Tonight, DRAFT Reading Series presents its season finale with an impressive list of writers: George Elliot Clarke, Flavia Cosma, Phyllis Gottlieb, Pasha Malla, Merle Nudelman, and Ottawa’s rob mclennan.
Please go buy rob a beer for us: he’s a tireless promoter/publisher of Canadian poetry, a prolific poet himself, and a wonderful soul. He keeps an always interesting blog of reviews and articles about books, writers, and events across the country. Honour him with multiple beverages, get him to tell all kinds of fascinating Canadian literary lore, and you never know—maybe you’ll have a new publisher by the end of the evening!
The readings begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Artists’ Play Studio Theatre (276 Carlaw Avenue). Five dollars gets you in the door and a copy of DRAFT, a numbered limited-edition publication only available at the reading. If our memory serves, an unconfirmed rumour said that patrons are asked to remove their footwear in the studio. Wear your socks without the holes, just in case.
