A Salon For Enlightenment

Love or loathe the spindly structure on the OCAD grounds, you’ll have a chance to speak to one of the minds behind the Alsop North America creation tomorrow evening courtesy of Salon Voltaire.
Bringing together interesting speakers, good food and lively discussion, Salon Voltaire reprises the days of Enlightenment and encourages intellectual curiosity through a series of events. Starting off the new season is Gregory Woods, Director of SMC Alsop North America, and Adam Vaughan, City Councillor of Trinity-Spadina, discussing architectural design and urban planning in Toronto. Both topics are fraught with varying opinions and to join in the fray you can purchase tickets for $24 from the Salon Voltaire website or grab any remaining few from the venue at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen St. West) before the 6:30 p.m. mingle-and-drinks or speakers on stage at 7:30 p.m.
