Yer Favourites
So, let’s say that you love Torontoist, but just can’t keep up with the amount of content that we post. You’re busy! You want only the best of the best of the best, dangnabit! Our parents over at Gothamist have cooked up a new tool to make life a little easier for ya.
Torontoist now has RSS feeds for the most popular posts on our site, based on some kind of advanced math formula thing that smooshes together how many recommendations and how many comments that a post receives (according to Gothamist, it’s a “secret sauce”). You can subscribe to feeds for the week or month, so that instead of having, say, fifty posts a week to look through, you might only have five. (If you don’t know what RSS is, this Wikipedia entry ought to explain it. We’ve got a feed for our main content, as well as for the shots in our Flickr pool.) Those of you who don’t use RSS can still use our recently-redesigned favourites page for similar functionality; either way, you, the readers, now have a bit more of a say in how much Torontoist you want to deal with.
