The Daily Photoist: Fill In The Blank
Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It’s our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!
Monochromatic tones and heavy shadows captured in this photo help to emphasize the textural quality of the leftover sign. Remnants of the lettering, perfectly sized with its tiled background, gradually fades into the large schema. Almost a completely broke down sign, it holds a bit of mystery with a convenient row of tiles removed. Photographed by spotmaticfanatic, he speculates that it may have said “The Gap” but with four electrical holes arcing around the bottom we believe different. What do you think it said?
