Torontoist: Not Pro-Death; Pro-Life for now
Tonight is the debut of a new super-secret short film directed by Toronto indie-filmaker Sara St. Onge (who, by the way, has the absolute best URL — “awesomology.com”).
It’s her first flick, and so secret that they’re not even telling us the title — but since she’s been responsible for videos by Final Fantasy, The Diableros, and Gentleman Reg, we know it will be good. (BTW, you can see those videos on her web site.)
The film debuts as part of an event at the Gladstone tonight called “PRO-LIFE! (not death): A Comedy Show and Celebration.”
The film debut is at 10:30. Preceeding that, there will be opening music by Maylee (of Henri Faberge and the Adorables) and Laura.
Then, our fine hosts take the stage in the form of comedy from Inessa Frantowski, Holly Prazoff, Rebecca Addelman and Bob Kerr.
After the movie, it’s time to dance, with afterparty DJs Jeff Scheven (of controller.controller) and Greg Ipp spinning records into the wee hours.
With all that talent in attendance, how could you not go? Doors are at 9:00. Film promptly at 10:30. Cover is a mere $5.
