Design the Fringe Festival’s New Face

What does the Toronto Fringe Festival mean to you?
This year, the Fringe would like to answer that question while giving one lucky artist the chance to have their work grace the festival’s promotional materials — including the cover of the official Fringe program, posters, brochures, ads, and the website. They are looking for an image that is “exciting and engaging” and are offering a VIP Unlimited Pass and $500 cash to the winner. Second and third place prizes of $100 and $50 are also available. Entries are due February 23rd by 6pm, with the winner being announced in the March newsletter and on the website.
Since 1989, the Fringe Festival has played host to over 1,500 independent theatre companies and thousands of eager theatregoers. This is the festival’s first-ever program cover design contest and, with so many people in attendance, the winner is sure to enjoy a healthy amount of exposure. Additional contest information, an application form, rules/regulations, and examples of previous covers can be found at the festival’s website.
(P.S. Those who plan on submitting applications to take part in this year’s event would be well advised to get their butts in gear! Applications are due back by January 12th at 6pm with a cost of $700. KidsVenue applications get knocked down to $600.)
