The Holidays, Old School

2006_12_08Vanessa.jpgShopping and the Santa Claus Parade are all fine and good, but baking over a hearth and drinking apple cider might just be a better way to celebrate the holidays. Most of the City’s museums are open year-round, but they really shine during the holiday season. Giant Edwardian Christmas tree, anyone? Historical cooking and paper chains? Yes please!
There are storytelling evenings, baking and centerpiece workshops, children’s Christmas adventures and Scottish New Year’s Eve celebrations. Different events run at each of seven museums: Spadina House, Colborne Lodge, Mackenzie House, Todmorden Mills, Montgomery’s Inn, Scarborough Historical Museum and Gibson House.
This is a listing of all the events and programs, and this is a 2-for-1 admission coupon.
