The Daily Photoist: Gingerbread House
Each weekday morning, we pick a recent image from the Torontoist Flickr Pool and feature it here on the site. It’s our way to give the many excellent photographers in our pool the attention they deserve!
Today’s festive image comes courtesy of Torontoist Flickr member Spotmaticfanatic (Érinn Cunningham). We suspect, that like us, many of you will spend these next few days at home munching on leftovers and eating too much candy, so this image seemed appropriately seasonal, with nary a Santa in sight. We love the bright colours and the depth of field.
We’re also sure many a household acquired a new digital camera this Christmas.
This photo was not taken digitally. Spotmaticfanatic is a continuing reminder that film-based photography is far from dead. He’s regularly featured in our weekend roundups and the many Toronto photos in his Flickr account are definitely worth a visit.
