Competing for Your Weekend

Halloween weekend in Toronto is always a long, long night. We mean it. With myriad options, many Torontonians choose several events, a bedtime sometime on Sunday or Monday, and make it to about 2/3 of what they intended. Not bad, Toronto! We don’t know about you, readers, but we are heading to at least two quite wild, but quite different parties on Saturday.
Knightflight’s Halloween Party promises beats, beer, pole-dancing gymnasts and an unusually high concentration of actors + motivational speakers. Knightflight Theatre is the home of I Decide, the spectacular but soon-to-close brainchild of Stuart Knight. October 28th 2k6 / 721 Queen St. W / $10 / 10 PM
The main event this weekend for the city’s electronic music enthusiasts is Destiny Productions‘ latest installment of their annual Halloween party, Destiny 666: Freakout. With a 100,000W soundsystem, four rooms of sound and huge names like Astral Projection, Goldie, MC Tali and Knifehandchop, we expect to be deaf by morning, but certainly not ready to quit. Daylight Savings Time conveniently ends in the middle of the night, giving us an extra hour to afterparty.
