Design Daytripper: A-frame typefaces

A-frame type
Torontoist spent the day admiring the work of would-be type designers displaying their work on chalkboards and signs along Queen Street West.
Above is a collage of six particularly pleasant examples. Of note: The calligraphic flourish of “Banana Berry Smoothie,” the sharply angular letters in “Wild Blueberry White Chocolate Cheesecake,” and the decorative ornament that adorns “Special Quesadillas.” (I suspect I was hungry when these photos were taken.)
Hand-designed A-frames are interesting because even after the creative effort put into them, they’re promptly erased and done all over again. Is there a top-notch chalk sign in your neighbourhood? Leave the coordinates in the comments.
