Canadian Art Mag’s Spring Launch

Torontoist doesn’t get excited that often about art writing, oh, who are we kidding Torontoist squeals like a schoolgirl over good art writing. So we’re pretty happy to see that Canadian Art’s spring issue is launching tonight and more importantly has a few articles that piqued our interest.
We’re waiting to see what Torontoist pal Leah Sandals has cooked up in her piece on art collectives and how they’re blending activism and art. We’ll also get around to reading the articles on Toronto artist Andy Fabo, and how Canadian artists are making it big in Berlin. Finally since we’re big Marcel Duchamp fans we’ll definitely read the article on ready mades once our wine hangovers wear off.
The launch is tonight at Diaz Contemporary, 100 Niagara St, 6-8pm.
