Happy Birthday, Dear Tower, Happy Birthday to You (and Many More…)
Everyone’s favourite freestanding phallic symbol turns 30 this weekend, and rumour (aka Eye’s listings) has it that on Sundays throughout January, you can go up the tower for the low low price of 3/$30, if you and your friends are residents of Ontario. Let those rich tourist bastards pay full price!
We’re not surprised by the tower’s longevity so much as its continued resistance to shrinkage – throughout many a chilly Toronto winter it has managed to maintain its impressive 1800+ feet!
By the way, if anyone makes a CN Tower cake in honour of the occasion, we would really like to hear about it.
