All the news that’s fit to roll our eyes at
–Paul Martin pulls out the old “But Mo-om, he DOES have a stupid face – you can’t get mad at me for telling the truth!” excuse to defend the Liberal attack ads.
–At FishbowlNY, Rachel debunks the debunking of James Frey and the Random House refund rumours (try saying that ten times fast). We’re glad that’s all cleared up, but if we never hear James Frey’s name again it will be far too soon.
–The good times are over for the Rochester ferry, and we really dig the Star’s melodramatic headline. We also dig Paved’s use of the phrase “cockamamie scheme” (Teehee. ‘Cock’). But with a boat nicknamed “The Cat”, where are all the pussy jokes?
–Little Shop of Horrors might have had it right, plants may be out to get us after all.
–Chuck Norris proud of literary achievements, doesn’t mind boys being boys.
Ok, so that last thing isn’t news at all. We just think Chuck Norris is inherently hilarious.
-Edited to add how grossed out we are by the Star’s speculation that Brangelina’s baby is Canadian (the article actually isn’t really about that at all, but there was a rather cringe-inducing banner across the front page of the tactile paper today).
