Recipes: Baked Brie
Brie is widely regarded as the Queen of Cheese, and it makes one Queen of a holiday appetizer! Gooey, chewy, creamy and dreamy, Baked Brie is a holiday tradition that works for all religious denominations. Try easy-to-make recipe at your next holiday gathering, and you’ll be the queen of your social circle.
Note: Tailor to your own tastes.
– 1 kg wheel of brie
– 1 package of Crescent Roll
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/4 cup of dried cranberries (have tried with Craisins, and it’s not as good)
– 2 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Flatten the thawed crescent rolls, making one big circle.
2. Place brie, uncut and unmangled, in the centre of the pastry.
3. Make mixture of brown sugar, cranberries, and cinnamon in a beaker. Spread mixture evenly over brie.
4. Fold in corners, wrapping brie like you were wrapping brie like a present. Place in oven, on a dish, and bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins or until golden brown.
5. Let stand 5 mins before serving. Eat as is, or serve with baguette, crackers or melba toast.
