Random Holiday Award: Most Misplaced Santa-themed Foodstuff

Don’t get us wrong – we adore grape tomatoes. We put these puppies in everything from salads to omelettes, and we also pop ’em like candy. But we’re not sure why the little dancing grape tomatoes (who are named Tom, Matt, and Otto, if you can’t read their hats in the picture) are bedecked in Santa hats, or what they have to do with Christmas (we eat them all year round, and frankly, they’re much better during the summer). But we can tell you that Matt appears to have gotten into the grown-ups’ eggnog. Torontoist foresees great things for the phrase “drunk as a grape tomato.”
