Before their renovations, eye magazine described the Cloak as “snug, dark and replete with some of the best microbrew available on tap…it practically taunts you into using the word ‘unpretentious’ to describe it.” And that was before the overhaul! After the re-design, the Cloak and Dagger Pub (394 College St) is this city’s coziest pub.
As any veteran of cold weather knows, body warmth is the best way to keep cozy in the winter. The long boothes – fitting as many as 12 drinkers – facilitates a closeness that no other pub can legitimately offer. If you’re heat is broken or you don’t want to pay that excessive hydro fines, just head to the Cloak and pile in.
(As for the reno’s, the bar area is much spacier and there is even a back room. New management and new bartenders too.)
